TASTE OF WHITE ROCK LAKE COUPON BOOK!

The first year Taste Of White Rock was a rousing success.  $5,000.00 was given out to the following organizations as determined by the four current officers:

 

For The Love Of The Lake - for general operating purposes

Bath House Cultural Center - for new activity signs

Dallas Master Gardeners - for the new flower garden in front of the Bath House

White Rock Lake Foundation - for general operatiing purposes

White Rock Lake Volunteers In Patrol - for general operating purposes

Mockingbird Dog Park at White Rock Lake - for general operating purposes

White Rock Lake Conservancy - for rebuilding the Dreyfuss Club building

 

In addition, more than $2,000 was distributed to neighborhood associations and other lake groups who helped sell the books.  And we added about $4,000 to the Peninsula Neighborhood Assoc. treasury.  Not bad for a first year effort!  Which could not have happened without the hard work of the following folks:  Madeline Cyrak, Joe Gillum, Rod Buvens, Janice Parson, Carol Hernandez, Mark Wilson, Jeff Chase, Lynnette Miller, Susan Moss Cooper and Gene Garramone.  And to Albertson’s for letting us sell the books at their supermarkets.

The goal of the 2008 Taste Of White Rock effort will be to give $10,000.00 to the lake groups and add at least $4,000 to our PNA treasury.  There will be 13 restaurants and the books will cost $12.00.  For more information please contact me at 972-533-1144 or cyrakm36@pobox.com.
